The George Caleb Bingham Online Catalogue Raisonné documents the known and traditionally attributed paintings by Bingham as well as those discovered since the publication of the 1986 catalogue by E. Maurice Bloch. The catalogue includes high-resolution color photography of the paintings along with extensive information including provenance, exhibition history and bibliography. Over time the catalogue will reflect the ongoing work of its authors in evaluating new Bingham discoveries, as well as updating scholarship, exhibitions, and other pertinent information as necessary.

The catalogue is divided into four sections: Catalogue, Collections, Exhibitions, and Bibliography. These sections can be navigated by clicking the categories listed on the left side of the page, or by clicking “Search” and using the tabs to browse the lists.

The entire catalogue can be sorted by the traditional Bloch numbers, or by collection. Sorting the entire catalogue by date will order the works chronologically. Filters provide an option to assemble a group of works by thematic elements or a range of dates.

The “Quick Search” tool allows the user to search a catalogue section by using keywords, dates, or title. “Advanced search” permits users to search within additional categories using specific criteria, such as size, theme, collection, or current location.
